for the people,

by the people

As the West Coast Collective, we are co-designing a new model of community-led commissioning that is informed by our local communities.  Community-led Commissioning gives local communities a stronger voice in how future social investment is designed and delivered. This approach brings together local knowledge, evidence, and lived experience to help shape investment that better reflects the needs of our communities. This kaupapa is important to us, and collaboration is at the heart of what we do.

But here is the thing, we need the whole community to help us understand what the priorities are within our rohe, and how we would design this so its relevant to us, and fits our current landscape. We want to connect and kōrero with people, organisations, NGOs, and diverse communities.

This site is still under construction, so make sure to keep coming back for updates!

Our Process

Keen to be part of the conversation?

When we say we want to connect with the community, we mean we want to share space with you and your community to capture what your specific needs are. If you are keen to be a part of shaping these conversations, you can connect with us in any of these ways:

community wānanga | Workshop

If you are a part of a community group and/or workplace that would benefit from having a group wānanga, let us know, and we can organise a session specifically for your group.

1 on 1 conversations

Not part of a community group or not tech-savvy, but still want to contribute to the kōrero? If you want to share, then we want to hear it! We can arrange a time to speak on an individual basis, just let us know!

online survey

Do you not have much time to attend workshops or never sure how to share your whakaaro? Never fear! We have developed an online community survey for whānau to complete at any stage.
